NSLC Announces Yearend Results

Compared to last year: Net income (earnings) totalled $228 million, down $0.3 million or 0.1 per cent Total sales were $591 million, down $1.9 million Total volume of alcohol sold was down 0.8 per cent, following a 2.8 per cent decline in the prior year Overall retail customer transactions (purchases) were down 1.7 per cent, however, the average dollar value of each transaction grew by 1.5 per cent Nova Scotia wine sales rose 12 per cent to $11.6 million, building on the 10.6 per cent growth last year Nova Scotia cider sales increased 55.4 per cent to $1.2 million on top of the 146 per cent increase the year prior Nova Scotia craft beer sales rose 25.4 per cent to $5.1 million, building on the 22 per cent growth last year Nova Scotia spirit sales grew by 80.7 per cent to $500,000 building on the 0.7 per cent growth last yearlast_img
